About This Content The new generation BR 442 ‘Talent 2’ comes to Train Simulator, perfect for you to experience on the Munich – Garmisch-Partenkirchen route.Built by Bombardier and introduced in 2009, the successor to the ‘Talent’ was put in to service by Deutsche Bahn to replace older EMU types and loco-hauled trains on both S-Bahn and Regio services. A total of 397 units have so far been manufactured, with 325 ordered by Deutsche Bahn. The four-car EMUs primarily operate on Germany-Austria routes, with 37 units introduced to the Munich – Garmisch-Partenkirchen route in August 2013. I would have liked to see it come with a route included. Only problem is in passenger view, you dont get full 360 view. Very good, could drop the price a bit.. The Talent 2 is a familiar sight along German railways, particularly in Bavaria, and it's a very welcome addition to the TS catalogue, after a long wait.Pros:+Acceleration and braking are very good+PZB and SIFA now function as they should+Great visuals+Great sounds+Nice scenariosCons:-Controls are a big laggyOverall, a must-buy for any German enthusiast, and a great addition to Munich-Garmisch. This add-on is basically awesome. You can't really fault about this train to be honest. It accelerates and deccelerates very quickly and the cabin view is definitely one of the best where the route map is a nice touch (Though it 's a bit blurred if you set the setting to Full HD for the resolution if I am not wrong.) and so are the seats , tables and the interior panellings. As for the cockpit , the level of detail is definitely much better than the commuter trains that DTG had released over the past few years (BR423 , BR424 , BR426) and cockpit is nicely finished too. Go and buy this add on without a second thought. You won't regret it and trust me , you 're going to have a good time with it by running it on the Munich-Garmisch Partenkirchen route , the Berlin-Wittenburg route if you want some realistic operations or any other German routes you can think of if you are not too concerned about it.. This train is really fun to drive and looks very nice. It is fairly similar to the BR 426 (the train included in the Munich to Garmisch - Partenkirchen route), but does sill look different. Overall I would recommend the loco (especially when on sale).. Look good, fun to drive.. After the update today, December 17th 2015, the 442 is actually worth getting. They fixed the major issues that have been around since it hit the store over a year ago. Why DTG does it take you so long to fix simple bugs that should have never made it into the final product?
